A Note About Leather Bibles:

Thank you for taking the time to read more about Steadfast Bibles’ premium editions of the New American Standard Bible. 

Our Preacher’s Bibles and Steadfast Limiteds product lines are all cased-in bindings with leather exteriors and leather lining. These Bibles include some superior manufacturing materials and techniques that make them different from paste-down bindings and the majority of NASB editions in the general marketplace.  

Some of these Bibles feature premium cowhide and goatskin, and some feature sheepskin lining. The materials, hand-crafted bindings, and small print runs all play a role in minor variations found in the final product. 

Natural grain leather carries with it unique markings to the individual animal’s hide. For example, goats often have horns and get into scrums. Cows brush up against barbed wire. Therefore it is not uncommon to have scars in a natural grain animal hide. In almost every case, these unique markings add character and do not affect the durability of the binding.

The workers doing the hand craftsmanship are extremely careful and do wear gloves. However, minor scratches on gilding can occur. Bible paper at the beginning and the end of the book block can have a minor crease from the block being secured to the cover (this can also occur in shipping). 

These minor issues do not make the Bible defective. If you discover the printing on the page is unreadable due to the crease, that likely happened in the print machine, not during the cased-in hand-binding process. In that case, please send us pictures for review. 

While we strive to make the best Bibles, no Bible is identical nor are they printed and bound perfectly. Some will have minor issues and a very small number will have major flaws where we would deem them defective. A few examples of defective copies are missing pages, excessive ink splatter covering words, folded-over paper that was not trimmed or printed correctly, or excessive glue spots.

Bible exchanges or replacements will not be accepted if the damage is due to mistreatment of the Bible. This includes damage due to exposure to the elements, dropping the Bible, taking a verse out of context, etc.

We have outlined some of the common minor variances in this section. If you feel like your Bible has a major flaw, please send us pictures and a detailed explanation. Our team will review these emails and respond within two business days. Please email us at and in the subject line include Steadfast Bibles and your customer order number.

If your Bible is approved for a return, we will exchange unused goods for a new copy within 30 days of the purchase date, if the item is still available. Please call our office at (949) 756-0600 between 10 am – 4 pm PST (M-Th) and 10 am – 2 pm PST (F) to initiate a return request.

For all other returns that do not have manufacturing defects, there is a 10% restocking fee.

Our customer care department will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number once your return is reviewed and approved. It may take up to 2 business days for us to respond to you with your RMA.  

Once you have your RMA, kindly return your package with the RMA number written on the original packing slip.

Note that once we receive your product back, we will need 2-5 business days to inspect it before any refunds are issued, or replacements sent.
